North Norfolk is a rural area with many unique features, the coastal area has outstanding country-side scenery, the beaches are stunning and offer a wonderful chance to get away in privacy and peace and quiet.
The Cattle sheds are 1 miles (4 minutes) away from Mundesley, with its blue flag family friendly beach, 2.7 miles (6 minutes), life guards are in attendence during the summer season. The village has many amenities, a golf course, play park, skate park and outside gym, mini golf are just some of these. The high street has several small independent shops, such as a chemist, butchers, green grocers, florists, plus a wonderful fish and chip shop.
Norfolk has 90 miles of unspoilt coastline, six blue flag beaches, the UK's largest seal colony is at Blakeney point, 23 miles (45 minutes), where holiday makers can take boat trips to view them.

North Walsham is 3 miles (6 minutes) drive from the cattle Sheds, the town has three supermarkets, with many other shops in the high street. Each Thursdays the local market is held, on the last Sunday of each month there is a farmer’s market held in the high street.
North Walsham to Dilham canal, this is a newley restored section of the only canal in Norfolk which had fallen into disrepair. When the canal was fully open it made North Walsham the northern most point of the Norfolk Broads. A three-mile section of the canal is restored and the public footpath beside it, linking Pigney’s wood with Bacton wood.
Pigney's wood, 1.5 miles (4 minutes), is a 58-acre wood located on the boundary of Knapton and North Walsham, the North Walsham to Dilham canal runs down the side of the woods. Although some of the trees date back for over 450 years, most of the 20,000 trees have been planted since 1993. Otters, deer, badgers, red kites, and buzzards can all be seen there.
Bacton woods, 3 miles (6 minutes), dates to Saxon times, it has 276 acres of woodland, it offers walking and cycling routes and is perfect for dog walkers and families to enjoy.
The towns of Cromer, 8 miles (15 minutes) with its wonderful pier, featured in the 2018 BBC Christmas advert, the beautiful market town of Aylsham 9miles (19 minutes) and the seaside town of Sheringham 13 miles (26 minutes) with it's heritage railway line are all a short drive from the Cattle Sheds. All of these towns have a historical heritage and a good range of independent shops. There are three National Trust properties within a short drive or cycle ride from the Cattle Sheds, Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park.
The Cattle Sheds are just a short distance from the Norfolk Broads national park. Wroxham is 12 miles away (21 minutes). Day boat and canoe hire are both available if you fancy a day on the water. There are many nature walks and the treehouses and zip wires at Bewilderwood, 13 miles (26 minuets), is a great day out for family's.
Norwich, 14.5 miles (26 minutes), a fine city. Until the 1700's it was England's second city, and has many historic sights, the Norman Castle and Cathedral are well worth a visit. Wondering through the Norwich lanes full of small independent shops soaking in the atmosphere or visiting the famous pedestrianised Norwich city centre can make a great day out. There is a perminant market lively marekt in the city centre with a wide range of food outlets.
